Cognity Scoops Promising New Business Award

Aberdeen based engineering consultancy Cognity has been named Promising New Business at the prestigious 2011 Grampian Awards for Business Enterprise.

Managing Director Rae Younger was also a finalist in the Emerging Entrepreneur category of the annual awards organised by Enterprise North East Trust, which took place on Thursday 30 June at the Ardoe House Hotel near Aberdeen.

Commenting on the award win, Rae Younger said, “This is a tremendous achievement for Cognity, which faced tough competition in this category. Winning this award is great recognition of the team’s hard work over the past year which has seen us surpass all expectations for first year of trading securing around £1 million of business.

“Following numerous recent contract wins, and many others in the pipeline, we have just expanded our team with the appointment of a further two employees giving us a ten-strong team.

“My vision was to create a company where service rather than money was the main motivation and it seems to be paying off. We are looking forward to another successful year.”
